UKCOGS is a private document agent that obtains official Companies House certificates — including the company certificate people search for as a Certificate of Good Standing — plus certified copies and company document packs for UK companies, foreign counsel and accountants. We order from Companies House; we do not issue certificates ourselves. Apostille and embassy legalisation can be quoted later and remain quote-only until we can fulfil them. We are not Companies House, the FCDO, GOV.UK or any other government service.

Who operates the site

UKCOGS is a trading name of PASECOM GROUP LTD (also written Pasecom Group Ltd), company number 17139327. Registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. ICO registration ZC117546. Contact: pete@pasecom.co.uk.

That Mildenhall address is the company’s registered office. Fulfilment is remote: we order Companies House documents to a working address we control, scan them and send them on by tracked post or courier. We do not claim a public shopfront or walk-in counter.

What we sell today

Buy-now covers Companies House products from the published catalogue: Certificate of Good Standing (standard £79 / express £129 ex VAT), certified Certificate of Incorporation (£49), certified articles (£49), the company documents pack (£249–£299), and a filings check (£15). Official Companies House fees are included in those prices and shown separately on the service pages — typically £22 standard / £65 express or same-day on the live GOV.UK fees list.

Apostille, e-Apostille, embassy legalisation, translations and same-day FCDO routes are quote-only. Official FCDO fees to cite (confirm on GOV.UK): paper £45 and e-Apostille £35. We do not take apostille money until fulfilment is confirmed, and we do not claim FCDO-listed or partner status.

How we work

You send the company name, number and delivery details through the order form. We apply to Companies House, receive the paper, scan it and forward it under tracked delivery. Standard Companies House dispatch aims for within about 10 working days; express options follow the registrar’s before-11am rules where offered. After we receive a document we typically send on within 1–3 working days.

We are not a solicitor, notary, immigration adviser or bank. We do not give legal, visa, immigration or bank-account-opening advice. Confirm document lists and freshness rules with the receiving organisation.

Why UKCOGS exists

Banks, foreign registries, free-zone authorities and overseas lawyers regularly ask UK companies for proof that the company exists and is in good standing. The official document that answers that request in the UK is a company certificate issued by Companies House. Many people search for it as a “Certificate of Good Standing”. Ordering it is not difficult once you know which product to ask for, but the terminology, the fee options and the follow-on steps (apostille, embassy legalisation, translation) confuse a lot of people the first time. UKCOGS exists to make the Companies House part simple, priced up front and handled by someone who answers email.

Who we help

• Directors and company secretaries who have been asked for a good standing certificate or certified incorporation documents by a bank, supplier or overseas partner.
• Accountants and company formation agents who need documents for clients and would rather not manage the ordering, scanning and posting themselves.
• Foreign counsel and corporate service providers who need official UK company documents for a transaction, a registration or due diligence and want a single point of contact in the UK.

What “private agent” means in practice

We are an intermediary. We apply to Companies House in the normal way, pay the official fee, receive the documents Companies House issues, and send them on to you. The certificate itself is issued by Companies House, not by us, and its content comes from the public register. We cannot change what the register says. If a company is overdue with its accounts or confirmation statement, or is subject to a strike-off action, that may affect what a certificate can state. This is why we offer a £15 filings check before you order if you are unsure.

We show the official fee separately from our service fee on every buy-now product so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Companies House currently charges £22 for a standard certificate or certified copy and £65 for the express or same-day service (confirm on GOV.UK). Our published prices are £79 standard and £129 express for a Certificate of Good Standing, ex VAT.

What we deliberately do not do

Several things are outside what we offer, and we would rather say so clearly. We are not a law firm, notary or regulated immigration adviser, and we do not give legal, visa, immigration or bank-account-opening advice. We do not take payment for apostille or embassy legalisation until we have confirmed we can fulfil the route. We do not claim to be Companies House, GOV.UK or the FCDO, or to be listed by or partnered with the FCDO. If a request is better handled by a solicitor or notary, we will tell you.

How we keep information accurate

Official fees and timescales change. We check Companies House and FCDO fees on GOV.UK and date that check on our service pages. Guides in our Advice Centre are written and reviewed by the Pasecom Group Ltd editorial team. Where rules depend on the recipient, as freshness requirements and paper versus e-Apostille often do, we say so rather than guess. If you spot something out of date, email pete@pasecom.co.uk and we will correct it.

Data and privacy

To order documents we need company details and a delivery address, and sometimes a contact name and phone number for the courier. We use those details to fulfil the order and to reply to you.
