Are you Companies House or the FCDO?
No. UKCOGS is a private agent. Companies House issues its documents and the FCDO issues an apostille. We obtain and arrange delivery; we are not the registrar.
What are the current official fees?
Companies House currently charges £22 standard and £65 express. FCDO fees are £45 paper and £35 e-Apostille. Always confirm on GOV.UK before a deadline.
How recent should a document be?
There is no universal expiry date. Banks and registries often ask for documents within 30, 60 or 90 days. Confirm the recipient rule.
What if filings are overdue?
Overdue accounts or confirmation statements can prevent the expected good-standing summary. The company or adviser must correct filings first.
Do I need an apostille?
Only when the receiving organisation or destination requires legalisation. Ask whether it wants paper, e-Apostille, translation or embassy work. Apostille is quote-only with us.
Does Express mean same-day delivery?
No. Express is a faster Companies House option where offered; it does not guarantee FCDO, courier or overseas acceptance.
